Unit 2: Reflection

Unit 2 Reflection

1) I did not know that writing an imaginary science paper existed. For instance, the concept of it is new yet interesting to me.

2) I already know a lot about grammar, but the “Grammar, Grammars, and The Teaching of Grammar” lecture was insightful.

3)  There isn’t really anything that I am unsure about.

4)  My strength for the final project article is that I know how to approach writing the article, and how to articulate my thoughts.

5) If I were to revise my final project article, I would just make sure that my grammar is correct and that there are no run-on sentences.

6) My engagement in this unit has not been the same as it was last unit because there were less assignments that I had to do. Considering I chose the maximum flexibility option, I was not required to come to zoom meetings and the list of assignments I had to complete were not as many as they were last unit. Although I put effort into these assignments, I feel as though I was not fully engaged in this unit just because of the zoom meetings I did not attend.

7) In order to help me stay successful, I made sure that throughout this unit I consistently checked the syllabus and the class website to make sure I have completed the required assignments by their due dates.

8) Next unit I would probably just maintain the same work flow that I have established because I feel as though this allows me to stay successful in the course.

9) This class would be better if we had movie discussions, for instance, in a zoom call we analyze a scene from a movie and discuss hidden meanings and symbolism.

10) I do not have any suggestions for how to revise this unit for future semesters, I believe that this is a well structured unit just like the last one.

11) I believe that you should continue the grading system for future classes because the ability to chose how we want to be graded is a very rare occurrence to have, so to have this opportunity is amazing considering the current climate we are in. Many students are going through different situations, so being able to have a maximum flexibility schedule or a structure and accountability schedule allows students to feel more at ease throughout the semester. For me, I have four other classes where the workload is annoying, so having this relaxed system gives me time to breathe, if that makes sense. I just feel as though this grading system is perfect for online school.
