- Throughout the course of ENG 201, I have learned how to properly structure a scientific paper, and also learn how to write an ethnography. I have successfully accomplished writing both as evident in my grades I have received for those assignments. I would also like to learn more about ethnography writing because I find it interesting after doing the filed work notes and putting that information into a paper.
- One skill I would like to further develop is paying attention to detail. This is something I know how to do but I noticed after submitting certain assignments, I forget to include something or I just incorrectly complete something such as the wrong runner head or forgetting to capitalize the title on the cover page of a research paper.
- For the future, a writing goal that I have is to expand my vocabulary so that I can use words other than the ones I tend to use often or I am most comfortable with. In order to become a better writer, I feel that using a sophisticated vocabulary, my writing will excel.
- After looking at the course objectives for this class, I feel that I have achieved these objectives. For instance, it is evident that I am proficient in research and reflection based on my past projects. My information was always sourced and properly cited. In regards to my reflections, I have always been able to accurately look back at my work and distinguish if this was my best work or not, and pick at the aspects that could have been improved.
